It all started in a small, unassuming deli in the Albuquerque Airport. (As if there were any other kind of deli in the Albuquerque Airport). The idea was to offer simple, unique, high quality food. Not something airports are generally known for.
One of the items on the menu was a Green Chile Chicken Soup made fresh daily from an old family recipe, a thoroughly irreverent combination of ingredients that spawned a cult following the likes of which hasn't been seen since the pet rock! Before long, The Soup took the airport and airways by storm: Flights were held, baggage was forsaken, layovers were extended. All in the name of this unconventional combination of ingredients.
At the 2006 Fancy Food Show in New York (sponsored by the National Association of Specialty Food Traders) our Green Chile Chicken Soup won "Outstanding Pasta, Rice, Bean and Soup". Over 160,000 specialty food products were shown at the booths of more than 2,300 exhibitors, and only 20 won awards!
